Embodying Chef Mendes’ version of a Portuguese café, breakfast at Lupulo melds the ingredients and dishes of his heritage with the tastes and traditions of NYC. This means breakfast sandwiches filled with house made linguiça sausage, eggs, and piri piri hot sauce, served on Portuguese rolls; tall, milky Portuguese lattés called Galãos; and of course, Pasteis de Nata (Portuguese egg custard tarts) based on his mother’s recipe, and baked every morning. Lupulo also offers a variety of house-baked muffins, scones, and cookies, and serves a proprietary coffee blend created in collaboration with Brooklyn Roasting Company.
